2002
  • The original Name Tile was created to personalized Jamie's daughters' room.
  • Jamie's Painting & Design is born.
2003
  • Lullaby Lane in Northern California agrees to sell Jamie's Name Tiles.
  • Jamie's Name Tiles are picked up by stores in Southern California.
  • Name tiles expand to the internet selling through such channels as Babybox.com, Takeastroll.com and Babygiftidea.com.
  • The product line expands to include Ceramic Birth Certificates, and Name Plaques.
  • Jamie hires her first contract artist to help with the large volume of orders.
  • JPD's Princess Name Tiles are featured in Woman's World Magazine.
2004
  • Jamie's Painting & Design's Name Tiles are featured in The Warm Biscuit Bedding Catalog.
  • JPD studio expands from a 10 x 10 room in Jamie's house to her two car garage.
  • JPD is an exhibitor at the ABC Kids' Expo - picking up over 35 new stores across the country.
  • Jamie's products are featured in KooKoo Bear Kids Bedding Catalog.
  • JPD's Ceramic Birth Certificates are featured in Better Home & Garden Kid's Room.
  • Jamie is featured in San Francisco Chronicle and the Wall Street Journal.
  • Porcelain ornaments are added the JPD line.
  • Sales triple from the previous year.
  • Another contract artist joins the JPD Team.
2005
  • Three more contract employees join JPD.
  • JPD partners with Stanford Children's Hospital, donating Name Plaques to all children with an extended stay in the hospital.
  • JPD expands the line to include Children's China plates.
  • JPD signs on with Rancho Park Collection, Anderson Marketing Solutions and Smith-Kaplan to help with developing new sales channels across the country.
  • PoshTots.com starts carrying product line; JPD is added to the Best Seller list.
  • Over 120 sales channels for JPD.
  • JPD ornaments are featured on the CBS Saturday Morning Early Show.
  • Christmas sales alone double for year.
  • 10% of all Christmas Ornament sales donated to Mercy Corps to help victims of Hurricane Katrina.
2006
  • JPD moves into 1,600 sq. fot. office and warehouse space.
  • JPD begins gaining momentum, picking up at leas one new sales channel a week.
  • JPD's Blog is launched www.jpd.typepad.com
  • JPD is featured in Celebrity Living, Working Mother and Bay Area Parent, Extreme Make Over Home Edition and the Ellen DeGeneres Show.
  • JPD launches Posh Pet Gifts by Jamie (www.poshpetgifts.com).
  • Potpourri's Favorites, Femail Creations and Casual Living start carrying Jamie’s products.
  • JPD products exhibited in major gift markets; Los Angeles, Dallas and Minneapolis.
  • Better Home & Garden Real Life Decorating, Cat Fancy, I Love Cats, Pet Business Magazine, Pet Product News agree to feature new pet products in Summer /Fall issues for 2006.
2007
  • Jamie is featured on “View from the Bay” a local San Francisco TV Show.
  • JPD featured in The Better Home & Garden Find IT Guide and in Pregnancy Magazine.
  • JPD moves to Kat Walk Kids Showroom in Texas.
  • JPD exhibits at the Atlanta Gift Show, launches 20 new designs.
  • Jamie starts writing for the Working Mother Blog.
  • JPD exhibits at the Atlanta Gift Show in July.
  • JPD adds over a 100 new designs and including a new line of ceramic frames.
  • JPD featured in Entrepreneur Blog, Kids Today.
  • JPD Products now sold at Target.com.
2008
  • Jamie starts writing with Silicon Valley Mom Blogs.
  • JPD signs first licensing deal with Stuppell Industries.
  • Licensed products are on sale at Home Goods.
  • Jamie’s blog gets picked up by AllTop.
  • One of Jamie’s blog posts gets syndicated in newspapers around the country.
  • JPD signs licensing deal with Murals Your Way, designing murals for company.
  • The Right Start Catalog and website start to carry some of JPD’s products.
  • Over 200 sales channels for JPD.
  • Jamie is actively looking to turn her blog into a book.
